Thanksgiving update

Thanksgiving - celebrating all you are thankful for. 

Wednesday - half day of school and we spent the rest of the day in the car, driving to Becca (host sister) & Brooks in the northern Virginia, where also Jenna and Andrew(host sibblings) were. 

Thursday - THANKSGIVING 
A walk in the dog park with the three (out of 5 in the whole family) dogs, showers, Gandma' and Aunt Sue arrived, then cooking and eating (A LOT):
turkey, sweet potatoes, stuffing muffins, bacon sweet stuffed dates, red cabbage, cranberry sauce, gravy, green been casserole, jello, cheesecake and fruit pie. nom-nom !

Friday -  Washington DC
A 20 minutes drive and we parked our cars in the DC, ready for a scavenger haunt; finding different places with help of clues. 
So we visited the Fords Theater where President Lincoln was shot( when he wore a Brooks Brothers coat and he died in an apartment across the street, where you can go and see the bed and some blood stains -waow, no juärk!)  , the spy museum, the navy memorial and China Town. aaaaand of course the White House and the Washington monument - which is built out of 2 different materials because the Civil War interrupted the building of it, but when the war was over and they were going to continue building they couldn't find the same material :P . We also ate at an Italian restaurant Vapiano - delicious ! 


Saturday - Pennsylvania & Papa
We went to Pennsylvania to eat dinner with Papa and some of our relatives in Pennsylvania, followed by a shopping-stop at an outlet-mal - where did my money go? ;) 

Sunday - Mini-Xmas & Scandinavian breakfast
Me & Stine made a Scandinavian breakfast today; wheat bread, boiled eggs (& I forgot to bring Kalles Kaviar...), ham, cheese, cucumber, yellow pepper, lussebullar (Saffron bons) and some fruit. 
We celebrated mini Christmas, since Becca & Brooks wont be home for Christmas and I got a nice necklace of Virginia with a shape of a heart in it.

Election Day and people stood/is standing in lines for hours! It's really even, so it will be interesting to see who wins ! We had a day off from school and we celebrated that with a nice breakfast with fruit, yoghurt, bread and coco. :) mmmm ! A walk with the dogs, some studing, swim-things-shopping and practice.
I also made dinner tonight "Bacon oven pancake" AKA FLÄSKPANKAKA !! :D soooo good :) ! <3 worth a picture ! :

So, this weekend we(the family) visited the youngest child, Andrew and his 6 month adorable dog Bosco, in Raleigh, North Carolina. Approximatly 3-4 hours away.
We leaved early Saturday morning and spent the time at a sports bar watching the Florida-game, where we ate fried Pickles(see picture). Andrew went to that university and he is a very big fan of the team. We ate at a New Orleans - restaurant, and I ate a nice Salmon Salad. Me, Stine and Andrew, who stayed at Andrews place over the night, watched Jumanji and A Night At The Roxbury. Have to see movies according to Andrew ;) ! Sunday started early since me and Stine had the dogs, Wilson & Toby in our room, and they woke up at 6 am, whick meant that we also had to get at :P after some breakfast we went for a walk in the woods and well deserved buffé - mm-mm-mmmmmh ! bread, bacon, egg, omelett, waffles, all americn style, but also some appetizers from around the world :) (day light saving ended, which means in swedish - reset to winter time, this sunday) on our way home we saw some cutton farm-thingy which is the second last picture.

today all the try outs began, and I did the try out for swimming. I was very nervous and had my normal anguish which I have when I am doing something new or something I havent done for a long time. And I havent been swimming - swimming for 7 years, so no wonder. But I made it, completed it, wore swim suit, goggles and swim hat (?) and had fun too. what a perfect match :P and it was so nice to do something else than running for work out, no offense cross country; I loved the team and enjoyed the work outs, but it was time for some change. Haha, sounding like some sort of break up. ;)
I also tried archery today, just for fun I think, while Zoe (my lunch-study-block mate) is in the club and is swimming too, so we spend the hour between school and "the- swim-bus" there. :P some new stuff and thats nice :) ! <3

Tomorrow is election day=day off school - awesome :) ! 
will Barack Obama continue for 4 more years or is it Mitt Romneys time to be president ? - I dont know, but we will see ;) !
